01 — Overview

About this workshop

Close catchers change matches. This workshop develops the technique and nerve needed in the slips, gully and short-leg positions: a relaxed ready stance, soft hands, watching the ball off the edge and moving late. Drills start with soft balls at low speed and build to match-speed edges, always with safety equipment and coach supervision.
