Academy Workshops

WFA Academy Workshops are practical learning and development sessions designed to help members improve their skills, knowledge and understanding.

Each workshop has a specific purpose and belongs to a particular Academy pathway and level. This allows members to choose sessions that are appropriate for their current development and goals.

Workshops can range from practical cricket coaching to leadership, officiating, welfare, technology and other areas of WFA development.

01 — Browse

Finding the right workshop

The Workshops page allows members to browse available sessions and find opportunities that suit them.

Members should also be able to see whether a workshop has any entry requirements or recommended previous training.

Each workshop listing should provide the essential information needed before booking, including:

  • Workshop name
  • Description
  • Pathway
  • Level
  • Date and time
  • Location
  • Coach
  • Availability and price where applicable

Booking a workshop

When a member finds a suitable workshop, they can open the full workshop information page and review the session before booking.

The member can then select the booking option, confirm their details and complete any required payment. Once the booking is successfully completed, the member receives confirmation and a unique QR code for the workshop.

03 — Capacity

Workshop capacity

Each workshop can have a maximum number of participants. This allows coaches to maintain an appropriate training environment and ensures that members receive enough attention during practical sessions.

When a workshop reaches capacity, the website can display that the session is full and provide a waiting-list option where available.

04 — Prepare

Workshop preparation

Members should carefully read the workshop information before attending. The workshop page can explain what equipment should be brought, when members should arrive, what clothing is appropriate and whether any preparation is required.

This helps ensure that every session can start on time and run effectively.

05 — Complete

Completing a workshop

After attending, the member's attendance is recorded through the Academy check-in system. Depending on the workshop, the member may then receive feedback, complete an assessment or receive an Academy achievement.

Completed workshops remain visible within the member's Academy history.
