Every player, participant, volunteer, organiser, supporter, and member has a responsibility to follow league rules and help maintain a safe, fair, and respectful environment for everyone involved.
This policy explains the rules regarding betting, match fixing, and the misuse of inside information. These rules are designed to protect the integrity of the Winn Family League and ensure that all competitions, activities, and events are conducted fairly and honestly.
All participants connected with the Winn Family League are expected to understand these rules and follow them at all times.
Betting rules
Betting can create serious risks to the fairness and reputation of sporting or competitive events if not handled responsibly. The Winn Family League expects all members and participants to behave responsibly and avoid any betting activity that could damage the integrity of competitions or create conflicts of interest. Participants must never:
- Bet on matches, games, competitions, or events in which they are directly involved
- Ask another person to place bets on their behalf
- Use league information to gain an unfair betting advantage
- Encourage others to break betting rules
- Share confidential information connected to betting activities
- Attempt to influence outcomes for betting purposes
All betting activities connected to the league must remain lawful, responsible, and fair. The Winn Family Association reserves the right to investigate suspicious betting activity and take disciplinary action where necessary.
Match fixing
02 — Zero toleranceMatch fixing is one of the most serious violations of integrity within any sporting or competitive environment. Match fixing occurs when a person deliberately attempts to influence the result, progress, conduct, or outcome of an event in an unfair or dishonest way.
- Intentionally losing a match or event
- Deliberately underperforming
- Manipulating scores or results
- Agreeing outcomes with others in advance
- Accepting money, gifts, or rewards to influence results
- Assisting another person in fixing an event
- Attempting to manipulate league competitions for personal gain
- Immediate suspension
- Permanent bans from league activities
- Removal from competitions or events
- Loss of titles, awards, or standings
- Reporting to relevant sporting authorities or legal authorities where appropriate
The Winn Family League has zero tolerance for match fixing or any form of corruption. The Winn Family Association is committed to protecting fair competition and maintaining trust within the community.
Inside information
03 — ConfidentialityInside information refers to confidential or non-public information that could provide an unfair advantage in betting or competitive activities.
- Team selections before public announcements
- Injuries or player availability
- Strategic decisions or tactics
- Event changes or rule changes not publicly released
- Private organisational information
- Confidential competition details
- Share confidential information with bettors or third parties
- Use private information to place bets
- Attempt to obtain confidential information improperly
- Exploit league knowledge for personal or financial gain
Sharing or using inside information for betting purposes is strictly prohibited. Protecting confidential information helps maintain fairness, trust, and integrity across all Winn Family League activities.
Reporting concerns
The Winn Family Association encourages all participants to report any concerns involving:
- Suspicious betting activity
- Match fixing attempts
- Corruption or bribery
- Unfair behaviour
- Misuse of confidential information
- Threats or pressure connected to competitions
