Your Safety
At the heart of the Winn Family League, your safety, wellbeing, and peace of mind are our highest priorities.
About your safety at the Winn Family League
The Winn Family Association believes that every member, visitor, supporter, volunteer, and guest deserves to feel safe, respected, protected, and valued at all times. Our organisation is built on family values, trust, community spirit, and responsibility, and we are fully committed to creating an environment where everyone can participate confidently and comfortably.
The Winn Family League is proudly operated and managed by the Winn Family Association, an organisation dedicated to supporting families, encouraging unity, promoting positive relationships, and providing safe opportunities for people of all ages to connect, learn, grow, and enjoy community activities together. Because family is at the centre of everything we do, safety is never treated as an afterthought — it is part of every decision, event, activity, and interaction within our league.
We understand that true safety means more than physical protection alone. It also includes emotional wellbeing, mental health, respect for personal boundaries, safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals, maintaining secure facilities, and ensuring that all members are treated fairly and with dignity. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where people can build friendships, take part in activities, and enjoy being part of the Winn Family community without fear, discrimination, bullying, harassment, or exclusion.
Our commitment to safeguarding
The Winn Family Association takes safeguarding extremely seriously. We are committed to protecting children, young people, vulnerable adults, and all members of our community from harm, abuse, neglect, exploitation, or inappropriate behaviour. We work hard to maintain a culture where concerns are listened to, taken seriously, and acted upon appropriately.
All staff members, organisers, volunteers, and league representatives are expected to follow strict safeguarding guidelines and codes of conduct. We encourage respectful communication, positive behaviour, and responsible leadership throughout all Winn Family League activities. Any behaviour that threatens the safety or wellbeing of others is not tolerated.
We also encourage openness and accountability. If any member feels uncomfortable, unsafe, or concerned about any issue, we want them to know that their voice matters. Concerns can be raised confidentially, respectfully, and without fear of judgement.
Safe and respectful environment
The Winn Family League aims to create an atmosphere where every individual feels included and respected regardless of age, background, identity, ability, religion, or personal circumstances. We believe diversity strengthens our community, and kindness is essential to maintaining a healthy environment. We ask all members and visitors to:
- Treat others with respect and courtesy
- Avoid harmful, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour
- Respect personal boundaries and privacy
- Follow instructions provided by league organisers and safety representatives
- Report unsafe behaviour or concerns immediately
- Help create a positive and supportive atmosphere for everyone
By working together as a community, we can ensure that the Winn Family League remains a place where families and individuals can feel comfortable and secure.
Physical safety and event security
Whenever the Winn Family League hosts activities, meetings, gatherings, competitions, or family events, safety procedures are carefully considered and planned in advance. The Winn Family Association works to maintain secure venues and organised environments that reduce risks and promote wellbeing. Our safety practices may include:
- Supervised activities and organised event management
- Clear emergency procedures and evacuation plans
- First aid availability where appropriate
- Safe access to facilities and event spaces
- Risk assessments for organised activities
- Appropriate adult supervision for children and young people
- Secure check-in and attendance procedures during certain events
- Monitoring of health and safety concerns
We continuously review our procedures to improve safety standards and adapt to the needs of our growing community.
Online safety and digital protection
As part of a modern community organisation, the Winn Family League may also communicate through websites, online groups, social media platforms, and digital services. The Winn Family Association understands the importance of online safety and responsible digital communication.
We encourage all members to use online spaces respectfully and responsibly. Any online bullying, harassment, threats, inappropriate messaging, or harmful behaviour is taken seriously and may result in removal from league activities or further action where necessary.
- Protect personal information and privacy
- Avoid sharing sensitive details publicly
- Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviour
- Use respectful language online
- Follow community guidelines during digital interactions
The Winn Family Association is committed to maintaining a positive and secure online presence for all members of the league.
Child and family protection
Because the Winn Family League is family-focused, protecting children and young people is one of our greatest responsibilities. We believe every child deserves to participate in activities safely, confidently, and free from harm.
Parents, guardians, and carers are encouraged to stay involved, communicate openly with organisers, and help us maintain a safe environment for younger members. We aim to ensure that children are supervised appropriately and treated with care, patience, and respect.
- Positive role models and leadership
- Anti-bullying standards
- Safe communication practices
- Age-appropriate activities
- Respectful behaviour between adults and children
- Protection from exploitation or harmful conduct
Any concerns involving child safety are treated with urgency and seriousness.
Health and wellbeing
Safety also includes supporting the health and wellbeing of everyone involved in the Winn Family League. We encourage a balanced, supportive, and caring environment where individuals can enjoy activities without unnecessary pressure or risk.
Mental wellbeing matters just as much as physical wellbeing. We encourage kindness, patience, understanding, and support among all members of the community. We believe strong communities are built through compassion, teamwork, and mutual respect.
Reporting concerns
The Winn Family Association encourages all members to speak up if they witness unsafe behaviour, rule violations, bullying, harassment, discrimination, or anything that may place another person at risk.
We are committed to listening carefully, responding appropriately, and handling concerns with professionalism and confidentiality wherever possible. Reporting concerns helps protect everyone and strengthens the integrity of our community.
Safety is a shared responsibility. Every member of the Winn Family League plays an important role in helping us create a secure, respectful, and welcoming environment for all.
By working together with honesty, care, and responsibility, we can continue building a community that families can trust and enjoy for generations to come. The Winn Family Association remains committed to maintaining high standards of safety, safeguarding, inclusion, and respect across every part of the Winn Family League. We are proud to serve our community and grateful for the trust placed in us by members, families, supporters, and visitors.
Thank you for being part of the Winn Family League.
Where family, community, respect, and safety always come first.
