01 Pathway 01 Player Development Pathway
The Player Development Pathway is designed for members who want to improve their cricketing abilities. It can cover batting, bowling, fielding, wicketkeeping, fitness, tactics, match awareness and specialist T20 skills.
Members can develop their technical skills through practical workshops while also learning how to apply those skills in realistic match situations. As members progress, sessions can become more challenging and specialised.
02 Pathway 02 Leadership Pathway
The Leadership Pathway is designed for members who want to develop their ability to lead teams and contribute positively to the WFA.
Training can include captaincy, communication, decision-making, team management, motivation, tactical planning and leadership under pressure. The pathway can support players who want to become captains, vice-captains or future WFA leaders.
03 Pathway 03 Officials Pathway
The Officials Pathway provides development opportunities for members interested in umpiring, scoring and match officiating.
Members can learn the Laws of Cricket, umpire signals, decision-making, match management, player management, reporting and disciplinary procedures. The pathway can eventually connect with the WFA's formal umpire qualification system.
04 Pathway 04 Welfare & Development Pathway
The Welfare & Development Pathway focuses on creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment throughout the WFA.
It can include welfare, safeguarding, mental health awareness, inclusion and equality, communication, volunteering and other areas of member support.
