The WFA Rules

Eleven rules that protect the integrity of the organisation and keep league activities positive and supportive.

The Winn Family Association (WFA), proudly operating and managing the Winn Family League, is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, fair, and welcoming environment for all members, participants, volunteers, organisers, supporters, and visitors. These rules exist to protect the integrity of the organisation and ensure that every individual can enjoy league activities in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

All individuals involved with the Winn Family Association and the Winn Family League are expected to understand, respect, and follow these rules at all times. By participating in any WFA activity, event, competition, online platform, or community programme, members agree to uphold the standards and values outlined below.

Rule 01

Respect everyone

Every member of the Winn Family Association must treat others with dignity, kindness, fairness, and respect. Abuse, harassment, bullying, intimidation, discrimination, racism, hate speech, or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated. All participants are expected to:

  • Use respectful language
  • Respect personal boundaries
  • Show good sportsmanship
  • Support a welcoming environment
  • Treat organisers, volunteers, officials, and participants fairly
  • Avoid behaviour that may cause harm, fear, or discomfort to others

The WFA believes that strong communities are built through respect and positive behaviour.

Rule 02

No discrimination or racism

The Winn Family Association operates with zero tolerance toward discrimination, racism, hate speech, or prejudice of any kind. No individual should ever be targeted or excluded because of their:

  • Race or ethnicity
  • Nationality or culture
  • Religion or beliefs
  • Gender or gender identity
  • Sexual orientation
  • Disability or medical condition
  • Age or personal background

Any discriminatory behaviour may result in warnings, suspension, removal from events, or permanent bans from WFA activities.

Rule 03

Fair play and honesty

All competitions, games, events, and activities connected to the WFA must be conducted fairly and honestly. Participants must never:

  • Cheat or manipulate results
  • Engage in match fixing
  • Use unfair advantages
  • Abuse league systems or rules
  • Attempt to influence outcomes dishonestly
  • Mislead organisers or participants

The integrity of the Winn Family League is one of the organisation’s most important values.

Rule 04

Betting and gambling rules

Betting activities connected to the WFA must always remain responsible, lawful, and fair. Participants must not:

  • Bet on events they are directly involved in
  • Use confidential information for betting purposes
  • Influence outcomes for gambling advantage
  • Encourage dishonest betting activity
  • Participate in illegal gambling activity

The WFA promotes responsible behaviour and takes gambling-related misconduct seriously.

Rule 05

Protect children and vulnerable individuals

The safety of children, young people, and vulnerable individuals is a major priority for the Winn Family Association. All members must:

  • Help maintain a safe environment
  • Report safeguarding concerns immediately
  • Avoid inappropriate behaviour or communication
  • Respect safeguarding procedures
  • Act responsibly around younger members

Any behaviour that places a child or vulnerable individual at risk will be treated as an extremely serious matter.

Rule 06

Online behaviour and social media

Members representing or participating in the WFA online are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully. This includes:

  • No online bullying or harassment
  • No hate speech or discrimination
  • No spreading false information
  • No abusive comments toward members or organisers
  • No sharing harmful or inappropriate content

Online behaviour that damages the reputation, safety, or wellbeing of the WFA community may result in disciplinary action.

Rule 07

Health and safety

The Winn Family Association is committed to maintaining safe environments during all events and activities. Participants must:

  • Follow safety instructions from organisers
  • Respect venue rules and emergency procedures
  • Avoid dangerous or reckless behaviour
  • Report hazards, injuries, or safety concerns
  • Help maintain a safe atmosphere for all

Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Rule 08

Substance abuse and dangerous behaviour

The WFA does not tolerate dangerous, reckless, or harmful behaviour that places others at risk. Participants must not:

  • Attend activities while heavily intoxicated
  • Use illegal substances during league events
  • Threaten or physically harm others
  • Bring dangerous items or weapons to events
  • Engage in violent behaviour

The Winn Family Association reserves the right to remove any individual whose behaviour creates safety concerns.

Rule 09

Reporting concerns

All members are encouraged to report concerns involving:

  • Bullying or harassment
  • Racism or discrimination
  • Match fixing or cheating
  • Unsafe behaviour
  • Safeguarding concerns
  • Abuse or misconduct
  • Online violations
  • Threats or intimidation

The WFA is committed to handling concerns seriously, fairly, and professionally wherever possible.

Rule 10

Disciplinary action

Failure to follow WFA Rules may result in disciplinary action depending on the seriousness of the incident. Possible actions may include:

  • Verbal or written warnings
  • Temporary suspension
  • Removal from events or competitions
  • Permanent bans from WFA activities
  • Reporting to authorities where appropriate

The Winn Family Association reserves the right to investigate incidents and take action necessary to protect members, events, and the wider community.

Rule 11

Community values

The Winn Family Association was built on values of family, respect, fairness, honesty, teamwork, inclusion, and community spirit. Every member has a role in helping create a safe and positive environment where everyone feels welcomed and supported. We encourage all participants to:

  • Lead by example
  • Support fellow members
  • Promote kindness and inclusion
  • Respect differences
  • Help maintain fair competition
  • Protect the reputation of the WFA
