The Winn Family League, proudly operated and managed by the Winn Family Association, is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for every member of our community. We believe that all people deserve to be treated fairly, equally, and with dignity, regardless of their background, identity, beliefs, or personal circumstances.

At the Winn Family League, discrimination, racism, harassment, bullying, hate speech, intimidation, or abusive behaviour of any kind will never be tolerated. Our organisation stands firmly against prejudice and supports equality, diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect throughout all league activities, events, competitions, online spaces, and community interactions.

We are proud to promote an environment where individuals and families from all backgrounds can feel safe, valued, respected, and included.

01 — Everyone welcome

Our commitment to equality and inclusion

The Winn Family Association believes that diversity strengthens communities. Every person who participates in the Winn Family League should feel comfortable being themselves without fear of discrimination, exclusion, humiliation, or abuse. We welcome people of all:

  • Races and ethnic backgrounds
  • Nationalities and cultures
  • Religions and beliefs
  • Genders and gender identities
  • Sexual orientations
  • Ages
  • Disabilities or medical conditions
  • Family backgrounds
  • Personal circumstances

Everyone deserves equal respect and equal opportunity to participate in league activities safely and confidently.

Racism and racial abuse

02 — Zero tolerance

Racism has absolutely no place within the Winn Family League. Any racist language, behaviour, symbols, gestures, comments, jokes, abuse, or discriminatory actions are considered serious violations of league standards.

This includes
  • Racial slurs or offensive language
  • Mocking someone’s culture, accent, nationality, or ethnicity
  • Hate speech or racist jokes
  • Online racist behaviour or messages
  • Excluding someone because of their race or background
  • Displaying racist imagery, signs, or symbols
  • Threatening or intimidating behaviour based on race
Consequences may include
  • Warnings or disciplinary action
  • Suspension from events or activities
  • Permanent removal from the league
  • Reporting to relevant authorities where necessary

The Winn Family Association operates with zero tolerance toward racism or racially motivated behaviour. We believe everyone has the right to participate without fear of racial discrimination or abuse.

03 — Not accepted

Discrimination

Discrimination occurs when someone is treated unfairly, excluded, disadvantaged, or targeted because of who they are. The Winn Family League is committed to preventing discrimination in all forms. Discriminatory behaviour may involve:

  • Unfair treatment
  • Exclusion from activities
  • Verbal abuse or insults
  • Offensive comments or stereotypes
  • Unequal opportunities
  • Bullying or intimidation
  • Harassment based on personal characteristics

No member, player, volunteer, organiser, or visitor should ever feel unwelcome or unsafe because of their identity or background. The Winn Family Association expects all participants to treat others with fairness, kindness, and respect at all times.

04 — Not accepted

Bullying and harassment

Bullying and harassment can have serious emotional, mental, and social effects on individuals and communities. The Winn Family League is committed to maintaining an environment where bullying, intimidation, and harassment are not accepted under any circumstances. Examples include:

  • Verbal abuse
  • Threatening behaviour
  • Repeated insults or humiliation
  • Online harassment or cyberbullying
  • Spreading rumours or targeting individuals
  • Aggressive or intimidating actions
  • Sexual harassment or inappropriate comments
  • Deliberately isolating or excluding someone

Everyone within the Winn Family League has the right to feel safe and respected both in person and online.

05 — Expected

Respectful behaviour expectations

All members and participants are expected to:

  • Treat others with dignity and respect
  • Use appropriate and respectful language
  • Support equality and inclusion
  • Challenge discrimination responsibly
  • Help create a positive atmosphere
  • Respect personal boundaries
  • Report harmful behaviour when witnessed

The Winn Family Association encourages positive leadership, good sportsmanship, and respectful communication across all areas of the league.

06 — Online

Online conduct and social media

The Winn Family League recognises that online behaviour is just as important as behaviour in person. Discrimination, racism, bullying, harassment, or hate speech through websites, messaging platforms, social media, or online communities connected with the league will not be tolerated. Participants must not:

  • Post abusive or discriminatory content
  • Target individuals online
  • Spread hateful or offensive material
  • Use social media to intimidate or harass others
  • Encourage discriminatory behaviour online

Online misconduct may result in disciplinary action even if it occurs outside physical league events where it affects the wellbeing, reputation, or safety of members within the Winn Family League community.

07 — Speak up

Reporting concerns

The Winn Family Association encourages all members to report incidents of discrimination, racism, harassment, bullying, or abusive behaviour. Every concern matters and will be treated seriously and respectfully. Reports may involve:

  • Racist comments or behaviour
  • Discriminatory treatment
  • Bullying or intimidation
  • Harassment online or in person
  • Hate speech
  • Unsafe or abusive conduct

Where possible, concerns will be handled confidentially and fairly. We are committed to listening, investigating concerns appropriately, and taking action where necessary to protect our community.

08 — Building a respectful community together

The Winn Family League exists to bring people together through community, teamwork, family values, respect, and inclusion. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in a safe and supportive environment free from fear, hatred, discrimination, or abuse.

The Winn Family Association is proud to stand against racism, discrimination, bullying, and harassment in all forms. We remain committed to creating a league where fairness, kindness, equality, and respect are at the centre of everything we do. By participating in the Winn Family League, all members agree to support these values and help build a stronger, safer, and more inclusive community for everyone.
