The 50-day milestone!
The countdown has reached another major milestone! There are now just 50 DAYS TO GO until the Winter Cup 2026, and excitement is continuing to build as we move closer to one of the most anticipated events in the Winn Family T-20 League calendar.
On 20 December, teams will come together at Winnston Park to begin their campaign for winter glory. Over four days, players will have the opportunity to showcase their skills, compete for valuable victories and fight for the chance to lift the Winter Cup trophy.
The tournament promises to be an exciting end-of-year cricketing occasion, bringing together players, officials and supporters for a competition built around teamwork, determination and the spirit of family cricket.
With only 50 days remaining, the big question is beginning to take shape: which team will rise to the challenge and become the Winter Cup 2026 champions?
Six teams. Four days. One champion.
The Winter Cup 2026 is scheduled to take place from 20–23 December 2026, featuring six teams competing in a fast-paced T-5 tournament.
With three points awarded for a victory, every match will carry importance. Teams will need to make their opportunities count, manage pressure and remain focused throughout the competition.
The T-5 format creates a unique challenge for every player. Batters must score quickly, bowlers must make every delivery count, and fielders need to be ready for every opportunity. In a competition where matches can change direction in a matter of moments, concentration and teamwork could prove decisive.
There will be no room for taking victories for granted. Every team will need to earn its place at the top of the standings, and every performance could influence the race for the trophy.
Can Winn At All Cost defend its reputation?
The memories of the 2025 Winter Cup remain an important part of the competition’s history.
In the inaugural tournament, Winn At All Cost enjoyed an unbeaten campaign before defeating Daddy Declan’s Dominators by 40 runs in the final. Winn At All Cost scored 191/6, while their opponents finished on 151/6.
Tyrone Winn was named Player of the Tournament and Best Batter, Alex Winn finished as the leading wicket-taker with 14 wickets, and Evelyn Winn claimed Best Bowler honours.
Those performances established a memorable first chapter for the Winter Cup. Now, the 2026 competition presents a fresh opportunity for teams to create their own history.
Will Winn At All Cost continue its winning tradition? Will Daddy Declan’s Dominators return stronger? Or could another team produce a remarkable run and claim the title?
With 50 days to go, anticipation is building around what the next edition could bring.
The road to winter glory
The next 50 days will bring the tournament closer with every passing week. Teams will have the opportunity to prepare, build confidence and focus on the challenges ahead.
The Winter Cup is not simply about scoring the most runs or taking the most wickets. It is about how teams respond when the pressure rises, how players support one another and how individuals perform when their team needs them most.
A powerful batting display could change a match. A crucial wicket could turn the momentum. An outstanding catch could become one of the defining moments of the tournament.
These are the moments that make short-format cricket so exciting, and they are exactly what players and supporters will be looking forward to this December.
More than a tournament
The Winter Cup represents the spirit of the Winn Family T-20 League: family, cricket, competition and shared memories.
It brings everyone together around the game and provides an opportunity for players to represent their teams with pride. Respect for opponents, sportsmanship and fair play will remain important throughout the tournament.
Every player has a role to play, every official contributes to the competition, and every match offers another opportunity to make the event memorable.
As preparations continue, the focus remains on delivering an enjoyable, competitive and well-organised tournament for everyone involved.
