Where can I park?
Free parking is available at the venue. Please park responsibly, follow steward directions and keep entrances and emergency access routes clear. Blue Badge holders park closest to the gate.
Can I come by train?
Yes. Herne Bay station has direct Southeastern services from London St Pancras and Victoria via Faversham. The ground is a 25–30 minute level walk or a short taxi ride from the station.
Is Winnston Park accessible?
It is a garden ground, so spectator areas are mostly grass, but the route from the car park to the boundary is level, there is a ground-floor accessible toilet, Blue Badge parking by the gate and stewards to assist. Tell us in advance and we will plan for you.
Can I bring children?
Absolutely — this is a family league. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult, and please keep them alert near the boundary as cricket balls can leave the playing area. Baby-changing is in the ground-floor accessible toilet.
Can I bring food?
Yes, picnics are welcome — it is a garden ground, so no glass, please, and use the bins provided. Refreshments and match teas may be available during the match, and hot drinks are served pitchside all day at the Winter Cup.
Where are the toilets?
In the main house, including a ground-floor accessible toilet with baby-changing. A steward will point you to them.
Where is first aid?
The first-aid point is in the main house kitchen. Tell any steward or match official if someone needs help; for life-threatening emergencies call 999.

Yes — official team shirts (£30), shorts (£15), trousers (£30) and the training shirt (£16) are in the online club shop, with a size guide and member prices. Choose delivery or collection at the ground.
What happens if it rains?
Play pauses for heavy rain and lightning and resumes when it is safe. In December frost can delay the first ball, and in a heatwave the schedule may be revised — the 2026 Finals were moved by a day for exactly that reason. Check the live alerts on the day.
How early should I arrive?
The ground opens about two hours before the first ball. Aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early, and earlier for the Winter Cup and Finals Day. Dance-show doors open 30 minutes before curtain up.

Herne Bay has seafront hotels, guest houses and B&Bs; Whitstable and Canterbury are 15–20 minutes away. See our Where to Stay guide or contact Visitor Services for suggestions.

How does the cricket work if I’ve never watched?
League matches are twenty overs a side and last around three hours with a tea interval. The Winter Cup uses a five-over “T5” format — one over per bowler, two points a win, net run rate splits ties — so there are up to five matches a day. The umpires’ word on weather is final.
